# Library ## expand\_more ![Islamic Architecture](/sites/g/files/omnuum9891/files/styles/hwp_1_1__720x720_scale/public/agakhan/files/libraryheader.jpg?itok=WGaPELGA) ## **The Documentation Center of the Aga Khan Program** **at the Fine Arts Library** The Documentation Center of the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at the Fine Arts Library, a part of the Aga Khan Program for Islamic Architecture at Harvard University and MIT, was established in 1979 by a gift from H.H. the Aga Khan to support teaching and research on the history of art and architecture in Islamic societies. The program funds acquisitions and cataloging, as well as research and reference services. It has helped build comprehensive collections that combine visual and printed documentation on the art, architecture, archaeology, and epigraphy of the Islamic world.
